On My Needles
I currently have 4 projects I'm working on, plus the Dishcloth Project (not pictured below). In the upper left corner is my Fruit Gum Stripe Sock. I'm modifying the pattern to knit these toe-up, and will be using a Fish Lips Kiss heel. I'm still working on the first one. I hope to finish these by the end of April, but I'm behind my intention of knitting an inch a day. The stripes are turning out different than I thought. It is looking more like a sunset than candy to me. I may have to try this pattern again in a more candy-like striping yarn.
Next, in the upper right corner, I'm knitting a Cabled Classic hat for the daughter of a friend. She likes her mom's so much (that I also knit) that she wanted her own. I'm knitting it using Estelle Cloud Cotton, and I love how soft this feels. I'm seriously considering knitting a summer blanket for my son using this brand of yarn.
Pictured at the bottom of the projects pile are two blankets, or what I hope will become blankets. On the left is the start of a sock yarn blanket, made up of mitred squares. On the right are hexipuffs for a Beekeepers Quilt. It is slow going, as I don't have a lot of sock yarn scraps, and I do knit mostly on socks, and now also the hat.
2014 Dishcloth Project
I have a LOT of cotton yarn. A LOT. Last year, I thought knitting a bag would use up a lot. It used up some, but a lot less than I thought. So, this year I decided to knit dishcloths. I've finished 6 dishcloths, and 2 facecloths so far this year, but I still have a lot of cotton to knit through. I want some to replace our old dishcloths that are starting to get a little too worn, but I have so much cotton that I'm sure some will become gifts, and some of the I Love This Cotton is planned for more facecloths.

April 2014 - A Fresh Start
Welcome!
I've started and stopped blogging many times. I'm continuing to blog under this blog name, if you've followed me before, but re-vamping the blog. As such, I've deleted all previous posts, and starting fresh. If you are one of my very few readers, please have some patience while I do this. I considered starting a new blog, but frankly, I couldn't figure out a new name that I liked as much as this one.
I will make efforts to blog regularly, but sometimes life gets busy, and blogging takes a back seat. I'm focussing my crafty pursuits towards knitting, and that will be the focus for this blog.
