On My Needles

I currently have 4 projects I'm working on, plus the Dishcloth Project (not pictured below). In the upper left corner is my Fruit Gum Stripe Sock. I'm modifying the pattern to knit these toe-up, and will be using a Fish Lips Kiss heel. I'm still working on the first one. I hope to finish these by the end of April, but I'm behind my intention of knitting an inch a day. The stripes are turning out different than I thought. It is looking more like a sunset than candy to me. I may have to try this pattern again in a more candy-like striping yarn.

Next, in the upper right corner, I'm knitting a Cabled Classic hat for the daughter of a friend. She likes her mom's so much (that I also knit) that she wanted her own. I'm knitting it using Estelle Cloud Cotton, and I love how soft this feels. I'm seriously considering knitting a summer blanket for my son using this brand of yarn.

Pictured at the bottom of the projects pile are two blankets, or what I hope will become blankets. On the left is the start of a sock yarn blanket, made up of mitred squares. On the right are hexipuffs for a Beekeepers Quilt. It is slow going, as I don't have a lot of sock yarn scraps, and I do knit mostly on socks, and now also the hat.
